Jammu, Jan 30 (KNO): To attract tourists in Jammu, a musical fountain with laser and projection show is being constructed in famous Bagh-e-Bahu. Officials said that the project is set to get completed by March this year. Project Manager Waseem Ahmad while talking to—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that the material that is being used in the project is imported from Germany and it will be the first kind of fountain in whole northern India. "Usually you can see such fountains in Singapore and Dubai, now it will be first such kind of fountain in India. It will attract thousands of tourists," he said. "There are three parts of the project, the first one is a fountain, the more will be the frequency in music, the more water will go high and vice-versa, he said, adding that it will have features of creating rain scenes, chasing jet with light which you can't see in the normal fountain." He said that a central pillar is also constructed in the project on which there will be water screen where the history of Jammu will be displayed. "There will be lasers shows and animation can also be run at the same time," he said. The estimated cost of the project is 10.8 crore. Notably, Bagh-e-Bahu is one of the popular sightseeing attractions of Jammu. The beautiful garden is comparable to the famous Mughal Gardens in Kashmir, but according to locals it has faced continued neglect when it comes to infrastructure development. Officials said the other projects that have been or will be taken include the establishment of vertical garden, re-modelling of entrance gate and path, improved landscaping, up-gradation of existing fountains, 5D theatre and shelter sheds. The remaining undeveloped portion of the park which stands at 35 kanal will also be focused during this project with initiatives like kids zone (fun plaza, play equipment, Inflatable Jumpers, sandpit, Splash Pool), amphitheatre, artisan haat, graffiti wall, joggers track, open-air gym, illumination system having been proposed for the area—(KNO)
